Here we are in Albuquerque, NM after 3 days of driving from Padre Island, TX through rural Texas and New Mexico. We had the wonderful good fortune of being hosted by campers we met at Padre Island and have camped on the Martinez’s land and at the Coronado State Monument Campground on the banks of the Rio Grand River. We also arrived in time for the International Balloon Festival with balloonists from all over the world flying over Albuquerque!
It was such a contrast here from being on the beach with huge vistas and the Sandia Mountains ever-present to the east. We love the cool temperatures and the warm people here! Click on the pictures for a large version.
